Internet connectivity in remote locations and rural areas of the United States was once a pipedream. Even a few years ago, the internet services weren’t that good.
The major internet service also struggled to fulfill their promises and people were left behind wondering whether they would ever be able to use a lightning-fast internet.
Whether their children will ever be able to study and learn new things with the help of the Internet. Whether they will be able to work remotely and build an online business.
Well, the dreams are indeed going to come true. It seems like things are changing. The people who have long been deprived of internet connectivity will ultimately get some.
And it’s not just us saying all this – the projects that are underway are indicating that things are changing, changing at a rapid pace. Internet companies such as Nomad Internet are coming forward and have a mission of providing rural area-first internet services.
Even the government officials are now looking into this and passed all the necessary plans and SOPs to get things done. Take Washington Island for example, the construction workers are working day and night to unspool several hundreds and thousands of optic fiber cables. And when installed these cables are supposed to go directly into rural homes and provide lightning-fast internet service, which currently is very slow and unreliable.
Apart from the optic fiber projects, the satellite internet service has already made its way into the rural demographics of the United States. Nomad Internet was one of the first companies to realize what the needs of the US population were. They identified that rural communities in the US are being deprived of one of the most important and revolutionary things available on earth – the Internet.
And that’s why they went all in with the satellite internet connectivity. What’s more intriguing is that despite all the expensive infrastructure investments, Nomad Internet has kept the Wi-Fi plans of their satellite internet service for rural areas cheap and quite affordable.
The thing is that times have changed and changed drastically. All thanks to the internet companies such as Nomad Internet, Verizon, etc. Data still tells us that 42 million people in the United States still don’t have access to high-speed internet. But the numbers are expected to come down.
Projects are in the work such as Wisconsin’s $40 Billion grant given by the government to support broadband expansion. Similarly, hundreds of rural areas in the US have the required funding to speed up the process.
But let’s not hype this too much. Still, it can take several years to provide internet to every person in rural areas and remote locations. Instead, we all should come together and make things happen sooner rather than later. The big internet giants, visionary companies like Nomad Internet, and the government have to come together to provide internet service for rural areas.
